Anonymous asked: I heard that you guys aren't going to be together anymore because Colin and Kevin were fighting. Is that true?
No, that’s not true. The band and Colin mutually parted ways back in June and the brothers’ relationship was not a factor in anything, not to mention, everyone still gets along. No fighting.

Download “Moderna” for free now through Saturday. Come see our last two performances Saturday at the Unitarian Church (where we had our first hometown show) in Queensbury and the final show on Halloween at Putnam Den (where we played most often) in Saratoga.
Words cannot describe anything I want to say; come to these shows and let music do it for me.
Head over to our Facebook page and check out BRAND NEW Curse the Mariner music! We recorded these in New Jersey this summer with our best buddy John Ferrara at Portrait Studios and could not be more happy with how they sound. Listen to (and download for free) “As They Kiss, Consume” and an acoustic version of “Statuettes” from Moderna. We love you.
Come to Putnam Den in Saratoga tomorrow night for the last show of the summer!

If I were you…I’d pay attention to us on the internet tomorrow…
Anonymous asked: Do you guys have a record deal?
Nahhhh… spread the word about us and you can help us land a good one ;)
Vocals already!
After a moderate band discussion the other day, a decision was reached that Colin Miner, our dear brother and friend, and Curse the Mariner would be parting ways. Though this is a sad case of events, it will open up new (and hopefully fortuitous) avenues for Colin as an artist, and also for Curse the Mariner as a band. We have always and will always respect the decisions made by all of us as an individual or a collective. Although we cannot accurately foretell what this will change for CtM (if we will be looking for a replacement guitarist, if our sound will alter, etc.) we can assure all of you that we will continue to be the tight knit compilation of young artists striving for the best they can be with what they consider to be one of their deepest and greatest passions.
CURSE THE MARINER WILL STILL BE PLAYING ALL SCHEDULED SHOWS THIS SUMMER AND RECORDING NEW SONGS THIS SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. WE WILL STILL BE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO BRING SOMETHING SPECIAL THE MUSIC SCENE WE LOVE SO DEARLY.
Our best wishes go with Colin, and his future as an artist.

What’s next?
+ First of all, Moderna is available on iTunes and a bunch of other digital music providers. Click on the iTunes link above the page to buy the record from there or to hear 30 second samples of each song. The record is still on sale for $10 at our webstore and with that you’ll be able to get the packaging, artwork, liner notes, and lyrics.
+ Go here to check out our first ever magazine feature!
+ We’ve been writing every practice from 8 to 1, working really hard gearing up for the studio. We’ll be recording again at the end of June at Portrait (that place has pumped out some gems). We couldn’t be more excited. John Ferrara (Trophy Scars) is gonna be at the helm doing it all this time and based on the job he did mixing Moderna, this is going to be dopeness. We’ll post more information about this project in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
+ We’ve been working hard on setting up shows and we’ll have a whole list of new shows coming out soon. It’s gonna be a busy summer.
+ We also wanted to say that you guys and girls are awesome. Thanks to everyone who has bought the record so far and to every one that came out to the CD release show. You make doing what we love an extraordinarily special experience. We’re glad to be here with you.
+ Share us with your friends.
Love,
Josh and CtM
Anonymous asked: How did you guys come up with the "CtM"? Why a small "t"?
We refer to ourselves as CtM a lot just because it’s way easier than typing Curse the Mariner all the time. It’s a lowercase T because the “the” in our name is lowercase for the proper title form so we just keep it in that form when we shorten it up. :)
